Sketch Challenge 168

I didn't know what to create this morning, so I visited SplitcoastStampers site to check out the card sketch challenge for this week. Here it is:

And here is my card:

I used the new Just Like Me stamp set, because I just got it yesterday and it was sitting on my desk. I need a card for my dad this year, so I am really early on this one. I put pop-dots behind the sentiment to make it stand out on the card. I don't think you can see it (maybe if you enlarge it by clicking the picture), but I used my Spots & Dots Cuttlebug folder on the little outdoor denim paper in the upper right hand corner. For embellishments I used small outdoor denim spirals, outdoor denim ribbon rounds, cranberry bigger brad, natural hemp and to top it off I used a clear inspirational "Love". I chalked the word to make it blue.

Colors used: Outdoor Denim, Cranberry, Bamboo, Crystal Blue and Majestic Blue Level 2 paper pack.

Oh, I forgot to mention to round the bottom corners of the card. I always like the look and forget to do it. I finally remembered. YAY!

Happy Stamping!

Great card. That is the stamp set I wanted to use for Dad's card. You will have to think of something else for me. LOL!

Wonderful card! I'm sure your dad is gonna love it. hey and tell Connie, she can use the same set. Use a different color or emboss it or something and it'll look completely different!

Congrats on the hits to your blog. Have fun picking a winner. I'm not going to enter because I have no clue what else I would want you to show. I LOVE everything you do, so I'll be happily surprised. :o)
