Cold Stone Creamery

Every year after the last day of school, I take the boys to have ice cream. They picked Cold Stone Creamery this year and I couldn't have been happier. I love that place! Of course, we go to celebrate school's out for the summer...and my sweet tooth habit...LOL! I have great ideas when it comes to treats. My friend, Heather, introduced me to Cold Stone and I have loved cake batter ice cream with Health Bar ever since.

I told my sister of our plans for the last day of school and she told me I needed to take my camera. That was a great idea, Connie! I will be doing this every year.

This layout is from the Magic Moments Scrapbooking Kit that CTMH offered during April and May this year. I just love this kit! I have found the perfect pictures for these layouts and they are so easy to put together.

Look at my boys haming it up for the camera in front of the wonderful selection of ice cream. YUMMY!

The ice cream cone at the top of the second page is a picture of a sign at Cold Stone. I took a close-up picture of it and printed it. After cutting it out, I added dimensionals to the back and used it as an embellishment. Perfect fit! If you want to read my journaling and see the embellishments up close, click on the pics to enlarge.

Happy Stamping!

Wow! This layout is awesome. The paper matches great with the different colors of ice cream. What a great way to make an embelishment. Love the pics also!

Holy Moly! I can't believe I did that. He is going into second grade! I fixed it on my layout already. Thanks for catching that Terese. I am glad my friends read my blog, so they can catch these things. I can't believe that Connie didn't catch that.

VERY nice layouts! I love scrapbooking, I really do. And I love looking at layouts even more...the colors on the papers are perfect for your ice cream day. And how clever to use the icon from the Creamery as one of your embellies! Quite clever indeed. I will have to file that idea away. Your sons are so cute and how fun to celebrate the end of school with ice cream! They will really enjoy looking back on these over the years. And you, can see how much they've changed and grown. TFS...I want to see more of your layouts!~Barb

So cute! What a fun tradition! We ordered pizza on what happened to be the last day of school here this year (my kids aren't even in school). That must be the tradition here because the pizza place was so busy! :-)
Bryson starts 3 yo preschool this year. I am going to remember this idea! TFS!

Love that you scrapped this! Love that you have an end of year tradition. Love the layout!

Your boys are just adorable!

I mentioned the phrase sweet tooth one time recently to Amy. She asked me which tooth it was! Now it's a joke for her to point to the tooth that is sweet when asked about her sweet tooth! I should scrap that, huh?

Thanks so much for sharing and I agree with Barb, you should share more of your scrapping as well as your card making!

Thanks all for your nice comments on my layout! I forget how much I love to scrap until I get a layout done and realize why I am obsessed with this great hobby.

I haven't tried Blue Bell's Cake Batter ice cream, but now I will look for it. I have to tell my friend, Heather, about it too. THANKS!

Yummy! Wishing we had a Cold Stone Creamery closer to home, we have to drive 45 min for that treat...makes me want to hop in the car. Thanks for sharing and the paper works great for this LO.
