Challenge Myself

Well, I made a boo boo!  I thought I remembered what Sparkles' Christmas card challenge was for this week and made my card.  Then I went to her blog to link it to this post AND I was wrong.  Yes, it happens!  More than I like to admit...hee hee.  So, I have a Christmas card for this week, but I guess I challenged myself.

In addition, I wanted you to know I did NOT color this image.  I visited my friend, Diane from DZ Doodles a few weeks ago and she gave me this image that she drew and colored.  It is available here.  She doesn't always take the time to make cards with her images she colors and I don't always have time to color.  Works out well for both of us.

Materials used
Stamps: Mary and Baby Jesus (DZ Doodles)
Paper: chocolate, colonial white and creme brulee cs (CTMH), blue cardstock (unknown, Veranda patter paper (CTMH)
Ink: Diane used prisma pencils to color her image
Accessories: glitter (unknown), ribbon (Michaels), filigree charm (CTMH), blue crystals (Mark Richards), font - Monotype Corsiva (Microsoft Word)
Punches: Scallop border (SU), arch lattice (Martha Stewart), Labels Four Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Daisy Heads Nestabilities (Spellbinders)

Happy Stamping!

This is gorgeous! Though you didn't do the sketch, it still counts. The only REAL rule I have is that it's a holiday/christmas/winter card. :) The challenges are optional.

This is so pretty! Of course Diane is a master at coloring her images, but you certainly showcased it well! Your choice of papers is simply perfect.

What a lovely colored image. She's got talent, that is for sure. You've got your talent too, as you've incorporated it beautifully onto your card!

Thanks so much for sharing!
