Give Thanks Turkey

I got this idea from my friend, Kim.  I rummaged through her project table and fell in love with this little turkey.  This can be used on a Thanksgiving table or just a little decor on your desk.  Love my punches!

This is the last of the three projects we will be making at stamp club next month.

Thankful For

When I saw the card on page 28 of the SU 2010 Idea Book & Catalog, I knew I had to buy the Thankful For jumbo wheel to make a card similar to that one.  The only thing I changed on my card is the Thank U sentiment. This is another project we are making at our November stamp club.  I love the simplicity of this card, and the way I can use my cardstock scraps instead of ribbon.

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: Thankful for jumbo wheel, cute by the inch (hostess level 1)
Paper: cherry cobbler, early expresso, old olive, pumpkin pie, whisper white
Ink: cherry cobbler
Accessories: white cord (other), staple (other)
Punches: 1" square, 1 1/4" square, scallop square XL, 1/8" circle (other)
Techniques: basic stamping

Don't forget to join me tonight on my USTREAM LIVE CLASS where I will be making the candy corn box I posted here.

Blessings Box

I made this box at my friend, Kim's house with one piece of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and a stamp set.  The technique on this box is the baby wipe technique.  I want to show my club members how to create with this technique; however, I don't have this stamp set, French Foliage.  I used the stamp set Day of Gratitude.  To add a little extra interest to the box, we spritz it with the log cabin smooch.  I love that name "smooch".

This is the box I created for my club members to make in November.

I wish I would have stamped a few more images on the cardstock, so I will remember to tell my club members that at our meeting.

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: day of gratitude, french foliage, seasonal sentiments
Paper: crumb cake, very vanilla, cajun craze, pumpkin pie
Ink: old olive, early expresso
Accessories: cajun craze marker, cherry cobbler marker, crumb cake marker, early expresso reinker, old olive reinker, cherry cobbler reinker, yellow reinker (other), white stitched 5/8" inch grosgrain ribbon (retired), old olive grosgrain ribbon, log cabin smooch spritz, library clip (retired)
Punches: none
Techniques: baby wipe technique

Holiday Jewelry

First, I would like to welcome those of you who recently started following my blog and those of you have been here a while.  I appreciate all of your comments.  Thanks so much!

We made it back from San Diego.  It is always so nice to be home!  Now, we are back to our routines.  We took Tate and Tanner to Hitchcock Nature Center to walk the trails and wear their costumes.  They got treats (not candy) at the posts.  They weren't the happiest about "no candy", but they did have fun dressing up.  Here are our Trick or Treaters.

I have been taking a Free Skinny-mini Photoshop class from Kim Klassen and I love it!  You should check it out.  I have been learning about textures, adjustment layers and blending modes.  I added a few blending modes and a solid color adjustment layer to these photos.  Fun, fun, fun!  You can check it out here.

Okay......Now, to the creating!

I have had so much fun creating with my Simply Adorned charm.  I will be offering a class soon.  I haven't worked out all the specifics, but I wanted to show you the cute inserts I have been making for my necklace.  This is the 1 1/4" x 1" charm.  You will get to choose which charm size and chain you want for the class.  Here is a peek at some of the options you will be able to make.  The class members will be able to make two inserts for their charm.

I got this idea from Dawn Griffith.

These designs are mine.

My friend, Debbie suggested this set.

I am still creating more and will show you those when I am finished.  There is a great promotion going on now.  Check it out!

Here is a better view of the stamp bundles.  It is a great time to buy projects for your holiday projects.

Blogger Troubles

Hello!

I just wanted to let you know I have been trying to post for a day now, and I can't get Blogger to add my images.  I am working on it, and will post some new projects as soon as I can.

Thanks for your patience!

Just Believe

This stamp set, Just Believe is my friend, Kim's favorite set.  She keeps trying to talk me into the fact I need one of these.  I really like this card we made, but I have so many flowers that I haven't caved "yet".

This is so cool, because the friends section is a bookmark.  Oh, I love this!

Monster Bag

Last Saturday, I went to the Stampin' Up! Regional meeting in Des Moines.  Had a lot of fun and got to take some pictures of great projects posted on the display boards.  Since I am not creating this week due to hanging out with my hubby and visiting friends, I wanted to share a couple of cute Halloween projects from boards.  Todays, treat bag looks easy to make and great for those Halloween gifts and treats.

Remember, I did't make this.  It was on display at our meeting.  I think one of the great corporate creators came up with this treat bag.  Love it!

I wanted to keep you inspired on those last minute Halloween projects you might be making.

Milk Good for Bones

Hello!  Today, I wanted to show you the FABULOUS skeleton my Father-in-law made for us out of recycled gallon milk containers.  Isn't it the coolest?  This is a great way to make a Halloween decoration with those milk cartons you use.  Jeanne, I can see you trying this one!

Punch Potpourri

This is the last card of my purple series.  I used two of the four stamps in the Punch Potpourri set, which is one of the great hostess level 1 sets you get to choose when you hold a workshop.  I love this set, because each stamp goes with a punch.

I went to my friend, Kim's house last night and made three awesome projects I will share with you next week while I am hanging out in San Diego.  I have so much to do yet to get ready.  Of course, I have to get a pedicure before I go...hee hee!

Ink: old olive, concord crush

Simple Butterfly

I tried to embed my Ustream LIVE show, but kept getting errors.  I am going to have to research what I need to do to make that work.  Thanks to those who were able to watch.  If you missed it, you can click on the Ustream button on the sidebar and watch it.

This is the third card is my purple and simple card series I made over the weekend.  I love the simple and cute style of these cards.  Perfect for any occasion.

I have been busy this week with heating and air "guys" who were replacing our air conditioner and furnace the last two days.  Whew!  It is over and I can get back to my routine.  The rest of the week I will be trying to prepare for my trip next week to San Diego...YAY!  My hubby has a training conference there and I am tagging along.  Grandma and Grandpa will be staying with the boys all week, so I am writing down our schedule and getting the cupboards stocked for them.  Tanner is sad we are going.  I am a little sad too; however, it will be good for us to get away together.  We have never been without the kids for five days before, so it will be an adjustment for me too.  I do get to see my friend, Denise!  Hi, Denise!
