White Christmas. You see it Bing! Oh, what a great song and movie. This card is for Sankari's Challenge #23 - I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas. This card was fun to make. I added a little silver for accent. The sentiment was embossed in silver and I added silver vellum behind my embossed snowflakes.
Card recipe: Paper - white daisy cs (CTMH), silver vellum (CTMH); Stamp set - So Many Scallops (SU); Ink - versamark; Accessories - silver embossing powder (CTMH); pop dots (SU), scallop punch (SU), white organdy ribbon (Sheer Creations), white brads (Paper Studio), Snowflakes embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
Well, I have been busy taking online classes again at JessicaSprague.com. I am taking two right now. Photo Editing: Frame-ups and Special Effects was a free course Jessica offered, which is really cool. We are on day 9 of this class. Yesterday, I started Oh Shoot! Digital Photography with Candice Stringham. Our first lesson was about shutter speed. I finally took my camera off automatic mode. YAY! Below are the pics I took to put in my book to show the difference in a fast shutter speed and slow shutter speed. I think this class is going to be a good one too. I can't wait to learn more about my SLR. I am ready to switch to manual mode.
Happy Stamping!
Beautiful card, Kim!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the class you are taking at JS. I've heard great things about it. The pictures you showed definitely show a big difference! I think it'd be cool to take that class, but I don't have one of those types of cameras...sigh. I will enjoy watching your learn and grow in your photography skills!
And no, I haven't yet started the JS free class...maybe when school starts! LOL
Great class -- I learned a ton and now some of the photography blogs make more sense to me.
ReplyDeleteNext time, try following your son in his dive with the shutter pressed half way down. You should get him in crisp and the background should appear to be moving. It's a great technique for carousels and runners.
absolutely beautiful!!! very elegant!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, Kim! Love the randomly placed brads in the snowflake centers!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Kelsey would get anything out of those classes you're taking? I'll have to check it out!
Love your card -- it's just beautiful! I'm jealous that you're taking the time for the photo class. One day....
