I purchased the stamp set, Summer Sweetness, a long time ago and finally...finally used it. YAY! I saw on a blog eons ago where someone used watermelons with the sentiment "Thanks a melon". Loved it! Well, I was totally out of thank you cards, because one of my friends came by yesterday and purchased my last ones. I needed to make some quickly and was inspired by some cards Dawn has made at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. She has made no layer cards and I love how they look. So clean and fresh! SO EASY!
My boys helped me pick out a couple of colors for these cards. Tate liked the bright pink one and Tanner liked the red one. Which one do you like best?
I didn't have a stamp that read "Thanks a melon", so I made my own in Word and printed them off on matching paper.
Card recipe: Paper - white cardstock (Walmart), watermelon cs (CTMH),topiary cs (CTMH), cranberry cs (CTMH); Stamp set - Summer Sweetness; Ink - black and topiary (CTMH); Sentiment - Microsoft Word; Accessories - window word punch (SU)
Happy Stamping!
Super fun cards, Kim! Being a fan of pink I'm slightly more drawn to the pink version, but that red one is just about equally delicious looking.
ReplyDeleteI'm no help, am I? LOL
Either one is fab! TFS
Hey Kim! How cute!! Love the cards and like Jeanne, I'm drawn to them both! They look yummy!!
ReplyDeleteThese are cute and love the sentiment.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Love the clean, simple cards. And I prefer the red version. :)
ReplyDeleteYummmmm I love watermelon, no matter WHAT color it is...lol. You did a great job of showing the variety you can achieve.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ these! The red one is my favorite! They look good enough to eat. I'm really liking the 'no layer' cards. Quick, easy and so great looking. TFS
