You know how I have been writing about organizing my stamp sets. Well, I came across the Pick a Petal stamp set by Stampin' Up and remembered why I bought it. I saw a card that Dawn from Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts made over 1 1/2 years ago. It was a cute get well card. I loved it! After looking through my archives of saved card pictures I want to make, I found it. I have never used the set and am trying to use what I have, so I made the same card. I tried to use similar colors that Dawn used, but I don't have any SU colors. These colors are all colors CTMH inks and paper. The sentiment is from Best Wishes (CTMH).

For those of you who only buy acrylic stamps, I made this one from CTMH stamp sets Best Wishes, Playful Petals and Rustic Flowers. The paper, ink and accessories are all the same.

Spring Has Sprung

Yes, I still traditional scrapbook.  I know I haven't showed you a competed traditional scrapbook page in a while.  Hopefully, with my new scrapbook club I will have one a month.  

Here is the layout I put together for my scrapbook club members for May.  The club members will have the choice to add this title or not.  The flower pattern paper reminded me of spring, which is finally here in Nebraska.  After I got this layout finished, I remembered I had these pictures of Tanner from 2005.  See...I am not caught up either.  I don't scrap chronologically, so I go through my pictures to match my layouts.  Then if the colors don't match, I change my pics to black and white or sepia.

Playful Petals 3D

My sister saved my birthday card and present for this weekend, when we were both visiting our parents for a high school graduation. Now, I know why....this card is gorgeous and she would have had to send it in a box. She did not design this, but she is the best at copying cards and layouts. They always looks just like the original.

This card is from a consultant on the CTMH bulletin board. I showed her this card and she recreated it. I cannot find the consultant's name, so if you know her please, please, please let me know her name. I want to give her credit, because this one is an original. I have made one just to have as a template. The petals are from the stamp set Playful Petals and the greeting is printed on cardstock from her computer. The colors used are dutch blue, sunkiss yellow, black, white daisy and sweet leaf. The inside of the flowers are black buttons and waxy flax.

Here is a close up of the flower petals. The instructions read to role the petals around a pencil in order to curl them. The waxy flax adds a great touch to the flower. AWESOME!

Stay tuned this week for a money card holder for my next tutorial. I have all the materials ready and am just waiting for some quiet time. I hope to get it done tonight for my next post. Crossing my fingers......

Just Pretty

I just couldn't put a sentiment on this one. It is simple, but I like it! When I went scrapping with Terese at Archivers, we saw a card where they used a glue pen and prisma glitter. I have been wanting to try that, so I finally inked up my Fancy Pants set, From the Garden and my CTMH set, Playful Petals. I really wish you could see this card in person, because the glitter shows up great. You should click the picture to enlarge it to really see the glitter.

The colors I used are blush, taffy and sweat leaf. I finished it off with a Paper Studio pearl brad I bought at Hobby Lobby. I might have to get more of these.

This card could be used for many occasions. That is why I just couldn't put a sentiment on the front.
