Bombshell Stamps

OK, we have a really fun challenge for you today -- it's an inspiration challenge, sponsored by Bombshell Stamps. To play along, simply pick something that you think is "the bomb" and make something!

Post your project in the Paper Craft Planet photo gallery, and use the tag "pcpbomb". (Here is a tutorial on adding pictures to the gallery, if you need it.) Shannon, at Bombshell Stamps has generously offered TWO stamps sets as a prize -- Pinstriping and Speed Shop.

For this card, I was inspired by the CTMH paper pack It's A Guy Thing. I knew I wanted to use the word pattern paper. I used my prismas and gamsol to color this classic.

Of course, I don't think of classic cars without thinking of bright yellow. That was my inspiration for this one. This set just screams for metal hinges and brads. I used my copics to color this bad boy. Love it!

This particular stamp is from the King of the Road stamp set. It is a great classic car set. Perfect for any masculine card or for anyone who loves cars (even the ladies out there).

Here is what the rest of the Super Novas came up with:

Adela Rossol

Lynn Mercurio

Melanie Muechinger

Happy Stamping!

Add a little Zing

......with Christmas bling!

Challenge #16 at Christmas Stampin' All Year Round
was to add a little zing with Christmas bling.

I knew I wanted to use the stamp set Victorian Snowflake (CTMH) for this card, because I love adding bling to these images.  I used the Basic Collections Evensong paper pack from CTMH and added some cranberry ribbon.  The scallop border was made with the scallop border punch from SU.

I am slowing getting caught up, but I have to take a break now and get ready for my club meeting on Saturday night.  We create a two-page layout and crop until midnight.

  Happy Stamping!

Let the heavens sing

I am soooo far behind on my Christmas Stamping All Year Round.  This is one of the color challenges from a few weeks ago.  I saw the pattern paper from Tickled Pink I just used on my tulip card, and knew the colors would work for this card challenge.  YAY!  I didn't have to think much on this one....LOL!

Once I got the colors and main image, then my brain had to kick into gear to think of how to pull the card together.  I don't have any ocean colored embellishments or ribbon.  Hmmm!  I went with gold.

I embossed the main image from the Gloria set (CTMH) with gold powder and then added prisma glitter to the angels wings and halo.

Next I wanted a sentiment that would be different than what I have been doing.  I used the sentiment from Christmas Heaven (CTMH) by embossing it, then cutting each line apart to arrange it on my card.

Finally, I wanted to add more ocean color, so I used my swirl EK Success punch and stamped a border from Victorian Snowflake (CTMH) set in Versamark and embossed in gold again.  The final touch was to add gold brads to the border.

Oh, I forgot to meniton I used D'Vine Swirl Cuttlebug embossing folder to create the background below the striped paper.  D'Vine sounded like it would go with an angel.  Don't ya think?  Hope you like it!  Now, back to my studio for more Christmas cards.

Happy Stamping!

Tulips

My sister has been giving me some stastic about why I haven't been creating, so I buckled down today and jumped in with both feet.  This is a Lockhart Stamp Company image called Tulips I received from my good friend, Barb, over at The Buzz.  Thanks, Barb!  I colored this image with my copics and knew I wanted to use Ocean colored cardstock from CTMH to match the vibrant blue.  It was hard for me not to use ribbon on this card.  I always fall back on ribbon, so I tried other embellishments today.

I wondered what pattern paper I could find that had the colors in the image and I found this striped pattern from the Tickled Pink promo pack offered in May by CTMH.  In addition, the small white flower brads and the white scallop tag came from this same promo pack.  I used a chocolate butterfly rub-on from the Nature's Ambiance rub-ons.

I got out my Martha Stewart punches for the lattice borderl and the floral lace border.  I finished it off with the "thanks" sentiment from CTMH called Say It In Style.

I had fun creating today and got my mojo going again.  Thanks for the kick, Connie!

Happy Stamping!

Relax Riley

Here is another image I got from my friend, Barb.  This is the first Riley I have ever colored and I love this moose!

This is the inside of the card.  I got some ink by the sentiment, so I improvised and added the little red flowers to cover my mistake.  Oh I forgot...there are no mistakes, just a chance to add an embellishment.  That is what Chris, my upline, has always says.

Materials used: All products CTMH unless noted.  Paper - Perfect Day Level 2, tulip cs, cocoa cs; Stamp sets - Riley (Hanna Stamps), Happy Day, Happy Birthday, Solo R; Ink - black (Memento), copics, cocoa, tulip; Accessories - Labels Two (Nestabilities), arch lattice (Martha Stewart punch), chocolate bigger brads, chocolate designer ribbon, framed fun dimensional elements, red flowers (unknown)

I used the frame from the tulip colored label on the front to frame my sentiment inside the card.  I try to use the negative and positive of my nesabilities.

I did keep track of the colors I used for the chair on this card.  I wanted to be able to use these color combo again.  I used BG72, BG13, BG45, and B00.  I am going to have to experiment with my copics to find the color combo I used for the foot stool.  Now, I am going to carry my copics notebook with me to mark my favorite color combos.  I good lesson learned.

Happy Stamping!

Holiday Card Workshop

I am going to hold a Holiday Card Workshop in November, so I have been busy creating some cards for this event. I wanted to keep them simple, but still have a wow factor! I used bling to accomplish that....LOL! Bling is AWESOME!
I used the new Creative Basics Evensong Collection for the paper and five different stamp sets.
  • Vintage Christmas
  • Victorian Snowflake
  • Boutique Alphabet
  • Christmas Scripts
  • Holiday Joy
Which one is your favorite?

Happy Stamping!

Sillhouette Card Class

I am ready for the card class I am offering in March. I can't believe it, but I felt like creating some cards and thought I might as well make them for the next class. I used the new Silhouette paper from the current 2008 CTMH Idea Book. This is a very popular paper pack and is one of my favorites too! It is so versatile for making cards and layouts!

I used various stamp sets and will list them under the card.

Vintage Christmas theme

Here is one of the other themes I wrote about yesterday. This card and tag will be created at a gathering I have on December 3rd. I did not design the card. My upline, Chris Shouse, sent this out last year, and I used it as my inspiration for this theme. My stamp sets are Vintage Christmas and Victorian Snowflake. Oops! I think I called this Vintage Snowflake yesterday. Well, it is the one I said is a must, so make sure you scratch off Vintage Snowflake on your wish list and replace it with Victorian Snowflake...hee hee! Sorry!

Hope you like this theme! I still would like to hear more ideas for themes. Jeanne reminded me of little girls. I forgot to say I am going to make a princess layout, but I have to order the stamp set. I haven't had a need for little girl stamp sets until now.

Have a great weekend!

Holiday Album

Holy Moly! I almost forgot to post tonight. I was taking some online CTMH classes and was shutting down my computer, when I remembered I hadn't shown you the awesome 9 x 9 holiday album we created at convention. I have been saving this for last, because I think it is so cool and it was easy and fun to make.

We used the Everlasting paper pack, which has become one of my favorites and Holiday Joy and Victorian Snowflakes stamp sets. Oh, the bling adds just the right touch. This is the first time I got to use the new lowercase chipboard alphabet too! It is all soooo good! Life is good! I didn't put pictures on mine yet, because I might wait for this years. Enjoy this eye candy!

Here is the front cover! We inked the chipboard letters on the front and back cover with a sponge and cranberry ink. You should see this in person...it is even better in real life!

First and second page after the cover! Look at all that bling! This snowflake runner is so easy to make it look seamless. I really, really, really suggest this stamp set (Victorian Snowflake), if you haven't purchased it already.

These are the last two pages. Those stockings are so stinkin' cute! We were able to bend the flourishes to make them look like photo corners, because the stamp sets are acrylix.

Last but not least the back cover! We finished the wish with a little bling and ribbon. Wow! I can't wait to get my pictures on this to display for the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping!

JOY

Again, I had so much fun this last weekend that I can't quit talking about it. I love it when someone I haven't talked to since last week calls and asks me how my trip was. I get to tell my story all over again!

We made four two-page layouts on Saturday just for starters. This one incorporated CTMH chipboard letters that we covered with Everlasting paper and we used the new ribbon rounds. I was on the fence about this stamp set, Victorian Snowflakes. I am so glad I got to use it. It is one of my favorites from the Fall/Winter catalog. I saw so much artwork completed with this stamp set. It is so pretty when used with prisma glitter. You will see it again, when I post the Holiday 9 x 9 accordion album later this week.

This is the second page of the layout. We used the new foundry frames and bling on this page. I tell ya...I love bling on layouts and cards!

I haven't had time to print pictures for all the layouts I am going to show you. I will be scrapping on Saturday night at my house, so I will take the time to print them then.

Happy Scrapping!
