Punch Bunch

Oh, I have been wanting to play with my new FREE stamp set, Punch Bunch.  I got this set for ordering $50 during the great sale-a-bration promotion.  This is just one of five stamps that match one of my punches.  Love it!

It is my brother and sister-in-law's (Craig and Maggie's) anniversary this Friday.  I knew I wanted to use the owl from this set for them.  My brother is a manly man, so I wanted to use very masculine paper.  I decided to pull out the retired DSP, To the Nines.

In addition, I like to play along with the weekly sketch challenge at Paper Craft Planet.  Lyn has a great sketch for us this week.  Check it out here.

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: punch bunch, teeny tiny wishes, woodgrain
Paper: to the nines, very vanilla, chocolate chip, crumb cake
Ink: chocolate chip, sage shadow (retired)
Accessories: dimensionals
Punches: two-step bird, two-step owl, word window, modern label

MY DIGITAL STUDIO

I am so glad there is a My Digital Studio pdf catalog available now.  It includes all of the MDS software artwork (contained in the boxed-version) and downloads from the October 2009 launch through January 2011! The catalog gives a snapshot of the entire product line with artwork thumbnails followed by product details. Because MDS is regularly coming out with new artwork, the catalog will be updated every month and available to you on MyDigitalStudio.net in the just-added Resources section.  I will add this link to the left sidebar in the catalog section for you as a future reference.

Heart to Clover

I had to make a card for club last Friday night in a hurry, because I couldn't find the card I made last month.  I still can't find it!  Hmm!  My friend, Barb from The Buzz sent me this card last year and I love it!

I just bought the Scalloped Heart to Hearts Embosslits, so I could make this for club this year.  I don't have this paper, so I improvised and used the Greenhouse Gala again.  When my club members made this Friday night, I had them random stamp the bottom of the card after they added the worded stem.  This is from the butterfly set, Flight of the Butterfly.  I thought it made a great stem.  Tonight the rest of my club members will be meeting, creating and...HAVING A LOT OF FUN!

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: teeny tiny wishes, So happy for you (sale-a-bration), flight of the butterfly
Paper: certainly celery, greenhouse gala, old olive, whisper white
Ink: old olive
Accessories: Scalloped heart to hearts embosslits, dimensionals
Punches: word window, modern label, full heart XL

Aerial View

Oh, Baby!  It's cold outside!  We are definitely in the winter season now, so I thought this card would be perfect for today.  This is another project I made a Kim's.  It is so cute!  I love the aerial view of the snowman looking up to the sky....great idea!

Paper: crumb cake, whisper white, pumpkin pie, black
Ink: bashful blue, real read

Gift Card Purse Tutorial

Here is the video I made for the gift card purse I posted earlier this week.  I had fun making this one.  I was in a goofy mood the day I made it, so I laugh at little things.  ENJOY!

WATERCOLOR WONDER CRAYONS NOW AVAILABLE!

Great news! The Watercolor Wonder Crayons are now available for purchase. The Watercolor Wonder Crayons were delayed due to a relocation of our supplier. We now have inventory and you can start ordering today!

When you receive your Watercolor Wonder Crayons, you may notice that some of the crayon sleeves feature old artwork on them. This does not affect the quality of the crayons; we simply need to deplete inventory of crayons with the old artwork before we use crayons featuring the new artwork.

This is another card I made stamping with Kim.  It is the Christmas Collage stamp set in the holiday mini catalog.  We stamped it in soft suede, but it looks like gold ink.  I like how it turned out.  It is the first time I used the waffle paper from the holiday mini too.  Fun, fun, fun!

Tanner, has been wanting to make a bee from my punches for about a week, so I finally broke down and let him play by himself with my punches and paper.  He knew exactly what punches he wanted to use, because he has helped me make a few punch animals.  Below is his bee on the left, and then Tate had to make a bee on the right.  Tanner's looks like a nice bee, and Tate's looks like a killer bee to me.  Oh, I couldn't talk Tanner out of putting the yellow legs on the bottom of his bee.  He knows they have legs.  LOL!  Love my boys!

House of Haunts

This is one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets, House of Haunts.  I love the silhouettes of the house and tree.  I wasn't going to show you this card at first, because I am not 100% thrilled with it.  The longer it sat on my desk, the more I decided I liked it more than I thought.  I am still not 100% happy with it, but it is okay.  It is only my second brayer card on my own.  I need to keep practicing.

Ink: marina mist, not quite navy, concord crush, black, pear pizzazz, old olive, early expresso

Owl Punch Penguin

This is another reason I love, love, love the owl punch.....you can make more than just owls with it.  I showed this to my downlines last night at our team meeting after making the owl card from yesterday's post.  I got this penguin idea from Diana Gibbs again.  Isn't he the cutest?

CASED Owl

I saw this card on Diana's blog, and knew I had to CASE it.  I love, love, love it!  Diana is a fellow SU! Demonstrator and Paper Craft Planet DT member.  The only parts I changed were the sentiments and the breast of the owls.  Oh, thanks Diana for your inspiration.

This is one of two projects I will be showing my downlines in class Monday night on Ustream.  I have a private classroom for us for training, questions and updates.  My downlines live all over the U.S., so this is a way we can meet.  I am showcasing the two-step owl XL punch for them.  I will show you the other project Tuesday after they see it.

Happy Birthday, Tanner!

We can't believe our baby is SIX years old already!

I wanted to make our BIG boy a special card, so I designed my first brayer card.  Wow!  I am glad you can't see my trash can...hee hee!  It was trial and error, but I finally created the skateboard card below.  I think he will like it.  I showed Tate, and Tate wants it.

I wanted to make Tanner a card with a sunset, because I have a card to show later this week that has a sunset.  When Tanner saw it he said, "Wow!  That is the better sunset ever!"  Love that guy!

We are going out to eat wherever Tanner chooses today, and eat cupcakes and ice cream.  Of course, Tanner FINALLY gets to open his birthday presents.  He has been counting down the days.

Happy Birthday Basket

This is the last project we will be creating at our July club meeting.  The first two are the sunflower card and the quick & cute card I posted earlier.

I felt like playing with my Big Shot, so I got out my Fancy Favor box die and just started creating.  This is what I came up with:

I have been in the mood to play with my sweet treat cups too.  This basket will be given to my mother-in-law for her birthday in July.  Part of her gift is a Scooter's gift card and it will hide perfectly underneath the Red Riding Hood strips of confetti.

Masculine - Thinking of You

This is another card I made over at my friend, Kim's.  She bought a class from Andrea Walford.  Since I love this set, I wanted to attend.  Well, I changed it from Father's Day to Thinking of You, because I have all my Father's Day cards made.  Other changes, which was not on purpose are the little squares.  I used the wrong side of the designer series paper, because I was busy talking to Kathy and not paying attention to what I was doing.  We were talking about how we like that pattern, so that is what I used.  I was suppose to use the other side.  It has a pattern in chocolate chip.

I wish you could see the tools in person.  We used the silver foil smooch spritz and they shine like real tools.  Love it!

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: totally tool, teeny tiny wishes, sanded
Paper: to the nines dsp, chocolate chip, whisper white, kraft
Ink: chocolate chip, basic gray, close to cocoa marker, really rust marker
Accessories: dimensionals, silver brads
Punches: word window, modern label, 1 1/4" square, 1 3/8" square
Techniques: smooch spritzing

Totally Tool - HFD

I'm back and crafting again!  I am getting ready for June club meetings.  Remember this Father's Day candy bar wrapper.  I wanted my club members to make one of these; however, I do not have the same letters for my Big Shot.  I decided to use Totally Tool instead and I love it!  This is a great set for the men in your life.

Here is my version of the Father's Day candy wrapper we will be making at our June club meeting:

I used the new silver foil smooch spritz on the saw to make it shiny.  Those are the specs you see.  I wish you could see how it shines.

Dad

I always wondered how people made these cute little candy bars holders where you pull the ribbon and the candy bar pops out.  Now, I know how.  Thanks, Kim!

Don't ya love the texture of the paper?  We made that by stamping the sage shadow cardstock with the stamp Sanded.  Then ran it through the Big Shot with the Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Love it!

Guess what?  I am finished with both of my nieces scrapbooks and the slideshow I created for the graduation party.  I worked both Saturday and Sunday on these.  It felt so good to be finished.  Aahhhh!  I will share some of the scrapbook pages I made this week.  I hope to get back to making Christmas cards, digital layouts for my boys and tutorials once I get back from my parents.  Back to my routine!  Well, as much as possible, since the boys will be on summer vacation.  YAY!

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: teeny tiny wishes, sanded
Paper: sage shadow cs, chocolate chip cs
Ink: really rust, chocolate chip
Accessories: 1/4" chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon, timeless type junior alphabet
