Oh, I forgot to mention that I added retired stamp sets I have for sale at the bottom of my blog.  Look at the top of the sidebar for more information.

Love, Praise, Live

This is the last card I have made with the September stamp of the month...for now! I really like the sayings on this stamp set. This card design is like the one on page 47 in the Originals book. It is a 3 x 3 card.

I started with new england ivy card base and clear embossed the leaf image for the background. I hope you can see this. If you click to enlarge the picture, it shows up better. On top of the shiny leaves, I second generation stamped the same image in sunflower.
Then I stamped the saying in new england ivy over the leaves. I like this look. I have seen other bloggers do this technique and have always liked the look of it. I matted the colonial white with creme brulee and purple pansy carstock. I used new england ivy brads and creme brulee designer ribbon.
The new designer ribbon rounds are awesome! I love the detail in the ribbon. This card is so little and cute!

I have my video taped for this week and will edit it tonight and Thursday. I will post it for Friday.
Happy Stamping!

Great Saying

This saying from the September stamp of the month is great! I used new products on this one too! The card design is like the one on page 13 of the Originals book; however, I adapted it for a 6 x 6 card. Here is the recipe:

Card base - Tulip cs, 6 x 12 scored at 6"
Stamp set - Treasure Life (September stamp of the month)
Enchanted pattern paper - 4 x 6
Ink - Tulip
Cardstock - Colonial white 1 1/2 x 4 3/4, Creme Brulee 1 3/4 x 5
Accents - Nature's Ambiance chocolate rub-ons, Tulip photo corners, Chocolate ribbon rounds, Creme Brulee bigger brads

When I was creating this one, I was a little worried about how it would come together. Once I was done, I was happy with the outcome. Love the autumn terracotta (orange)...LOL!

Treasure Life

My open house is over and I think it was a blast. There were a steady stream of people the whole time. I had so much fun! Thanks to those of you who attended!

The September stamp of them month is a good one...Treasure Life! I was hoping we would get a wildflower stamp set and this is just wonderful. This card is another design from the Originals book called Center Sash on page 16. This is one of my favorite designs in the book. I am getting hooked on the 3 1/2 x 8 card base.

I used the new colors Sorbet and Creme Brulee with a touch of New England Ivy. I used markers on the flowers and then huffed on it before stamping. This looks a little like watercoloring. I like how it turned out. Oh, I used Sunflower for the actual flower and then used my markers on the sentiment to get it two colors.

I tried a new trick I learned at convention with the ribbon. Kim Lohberg taught us how to use a concho on the card and then tie the ribbon through it in her Extravangza class. Awesome! Can you see my concho on the left side of my card? This is a great way to use these embellies!
