Nurse Mom

Hello!  I have not fallen off the earth.  I have been busy and not creating (sniff sniff).  My parents were here over the weekend.  I like to just hang out with them and not create.  We had a nice weekend.  Then.....Tate had a sore throat on Saturday and Sunday.  It developed into an ear ache in both ears that had him up crying in the middle of the night Sunday.  I took him to the doctor on Monday and he has a really bad ear infection.  He is on meds now, so hopefully that will get better.  This morning he woke up with a slight fever.....Ugh!

Tanner has a croupy cough, which is fine during the day; however, he woke up last night and coughed for over an hour.  I just sat there and held him until he went back to sleep.  Needless to say, I haven't been creating.  I have club tonight and Friday night, so they boys will be quarantined upstairs.

I did want to continue to inspire you to create, so I am sharing a beautiful card I saw at the Regional Stampin' Up meeting I went to last month.  Remember....I didn't make this.  I will probably CASE it some day.  I love this stamp set Day of Gratitude and the matching Specialty Designer Series Paper, Autumn Spice.

Blessings Box

I made this box at my friend, Kim's house with one piece of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and a stamp set.  The technique on this box is the baby wipe technique.  I want to show my club members how to create with this technique; however, I don't have this stamp set, French Foliage.  I used the stamp set Day of Gratitude.  To add a little extra interest to the box, we spritz it with the log cabin smooch.  I love that name "smooch".

This is the box I created for my club members to make in November.

I wish I would have stamped a few more images on the cardstock, so I will remember to tell my club members that at our meeting.

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted

Day of Gratitude

I went to my card stash the other day to find two thank you cards and......................didn't have any.  I couldn't believe it!  I make cards all the time and don't have any thank you cards.  Well, I decided to make 10 cards of the same design, so I could have some in my stash for this fall.  I don't usually mass produce a card with the exception of my Christmas cards.

The main image on this card is from the Day of Gratitude stamp set in the holiday mini.  I ordered this stamp set by mistake.  How did I do that?  Well, I put it on my order and decided I didn't want it, BUT I forget to remove it.  I am so glad I forgot.  This set is perfect with the specialty paper, Autumn Spice.

See the bigger scallop in my card above?  It is from the XL Tasteful Trim Die.  Love this die!  You can use the negative scallops for another card.  I used the reverse scallop for the card here:

I used the third scallop and the negative on the die below for this project.
