Thanks Beary Much

This little bear is from the retired set The Best Way (CTMH). I sold this set a while ago, but stamped him a few times on cardstock before I let him go. That way I can still work with him for a while.

I am on a roll with this paper pack. I have been using my retired stamps and paper sets, because I am trying use what I have. That was my New Year's resolution. Of course, I am still getting new sets and paper here and there, but I have really cut back this year.

I thought the red flower my bear is holding worked well with this pattern paper. I used three of the different patterns from this Level 2 pack and the matching ribbon and bigger brads. Love it!

Teddy Bears

Well, I have no idea why, but Feedblitz did not send out my blog yesterday. Hmmm! Well, at least I didn't get an email. If you didn't get one either, you will have to scroll down to see the first of my bear card series. I made the same design for these, but had to change them a little. The size of the bear stamped image called for something different on each card. I used The Best Way stamp set again. This was another one of those bears staring up at me that last month. In addition, I used the same medium, CTMH coloring pencils and blending pen or aquapainter. The "Thanks" sentiment was from the $1 bin at Michael's. Boy, there are some great finds in there.

I used my Cuttlebug again. I just can't keep my hands off that machine. It turns any paper into beautiful creations. LOL! The ribbon is from American Crafts. I have a bunch of those and I always seem to find one that matches.


The paper packet is Elegant Floral from CTMH and I used Petal, Orchid Bouquet, White Daisy and Garden Green cardstock. The background stamped I used on the Garden Green cardstock is from the Adorable Backgrounds set. The ink pads I used were Smokey Plum and Garden Green. Accessories are white brads and a white small spiral. Oh, I almost forgot I used my concave punch too!

Thank You So Much

It seems as if I can't throw anything stamped away. I can clean out my cupboards and closets and toss away, but when it comes to stamping...I have to keep anything I stamp. You know, just in case I might use it later. I will be creating teddy bears cards, because before I bought my prismas I stamped several bears and colored them with CTMH coloring pencils and blended with my aquapainter and blending pen. These have been sitting on my scrap table just looking at me, so I had to use them for a card.



In addition, I needed to use a different style of card from the standard greeting card, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. I have seen some gate fold cards lately and decided to design one of those. Here is the same card sitting up, so you can see the gate fold design. Notice I cut the baby pink ribbon so the card would open. But when the card is closed (above) the ribbon looks continuous. I fastened the ribbon on the card with a bronze photo hanger. This color looks great with pink. I used my Cuttlebug again on the striped pattern paper. It is hard to see in these pictures, but it shows up nicely in person.

Here I enlarged the embellishment in the upper right hand corner. I used solo "t" stamp set for the sentiment stamped in Hollyhock on Baby Pink cardstock and matted on Chocolate cardstock. I put a flower button in the middle and continued these in the lower left hand corner, so the card would have a "z" flow from the three embellishments used.

Last night, I spent the evening cutting materials for the make-n-take for tonight's gathering. We will be making the last Father's Day card I sent you. The one my sister liked. So I pulled this Thank You card from my archives to share with you. It is still one of my favorites. I used the Originals Card Confidence Program to pick a design to start my thank you card.

Then I used The Best Way and Little Fill-Ups with Jar (retired). The sentiment Thanks Beary Much comes from the retired set. In addition, I used Star Spangled Blue cardstock , Star Spangled Blue gingham (retired), White Daisy cardstock and Star Spangled Blue ink. I painted the inside of the flower with Sunny Yellow marker and traced the outline of the flower with a blending pen. I tied it up with Star Spangled Blue Ribbon from the Summer Carnival Organdy Ribbon Rounds.
