My Cousins

Okay, before I talk about my last digi layout from my class at JessicaSprague.com I have to tell you about the GREAT DEAL I got today.  I didn't even take the time to create because I was wheelin' and dealin' and lookin' at my new stamps!

LOOK!

I got 143 House Mouse Stamps and two House Mouse acrylic sets for soooo cheap!  I called my sister and told her about it and she said, "You better get them."

I met this lady about 1-2 months ago, who was selling all of her scrapbook supplies.  I went to see what she had hoping she had some stamp sets.  They were hardly any there.  I looked around at ALL of her stuff.  She had a lot.  I was talking about how I am a stamper and was looking for stamp sets.  She told me she had about 150 of them at a pawn shop and would be interested in selling them to me when she got them out.  I agreed.

I thought I would never hear from her again!  I looked online and saw she lost my number and was trying to contact me.  I called her yesterday and we made a deal where I would meet here at the pawn shop today and I would pay to get them out of pawn and a little more, so she could get some other things out too.

My DH was very skeptical and I told him I wouldn't do it, if I thought something wasn't right.  Well, it was right!  It only took about 10 minutes and I drove home to unpack them.  Most of them have never been used.  I think she was a collector and not a stamper.  I haven't even decided which ones I am going to keep and which ones I am going to try to sell.  If my coloring doesn't get better by the time I am done playing with the ones I want, it never will.

My sister wants me to do a House Mouse card every week, but I told her I would have to do a lot of coloring to get that done.  I will slowly work on it, but I will not make any promises.  Looks like I might have to join the House Mouse group on Paper Craft Planet, so I can talk stamps.  LOL!

I have a PTA meeting tonight and haven't typed the agenda yet or gotten anything ready, so I am going to show you the last layout I did in the digi class I took.  When I saw this picture of Tate and my two nephews in the tree, I knew this paper was perfect for it.  These three boys have so much fun when we go back to my parents.  They are between 7-9 right now and Tanner follows them around like he is a big boy too.  This picture was taken when Tanner was less than one year, so he couldn't join this climb.

The one thing I really liked about this layout was how the journaling turned out.  I like how they showed how to make key words bigger and to stagger the lines.  We cut the paper to put in the rectangles and it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

My second digi class starts next week and I can't wait.  I want to start creating two-page layouts and learning more about making embellishments pop.

I will be working on a Molly card this week and a video.  Off to look at my new stamp supply!

Happy Stamping!

You are SO LUCKY!!! I have always wanted House Mouse stamps since they first came out, but never could justify the cost. I would have bought them all too if I had come across this deal, and I would not sell a one of them, but keep them all! (I used to have pet mice, and I really LOVE mice, and these stamps are SO CUTE!) SO lucky! ENjoy them!

As for the digital page....I really like it! I would love to learn how to make digital layouts. I have a question....Do you have a 12x12 printer? Have you ever printed them out of regular cardstock, or do you use photo paper to print them out?

Again....congrats on the great deal..(let me know if you are going to seel any of those stamps...really, not kidding) :o)

Also, thanks for sharing with us...I always love to see your blog and what you share.
