Thanks so much

I have been busy lately, but not in my craft room.  Tate has four days of school left and then SUMMER VACATION...YAY!  I am almost done with my nieces scrapbooks and slideshow just in time to leave next week for my parents.  The boys and I will be staying a week, so I am getting laundry done and packing.  I like to get the clothes we will be wearing on vacation in the suitcases, so I am not washing them last minute.  My DH is staying behind due to responsibilities at work.  Bummer!

I did make time this week to go to my friend, Kim's house.  I always make time to create with her each month.  This month we worked on watercoloring techniques and Father's Day gifts and cards.  Over the next couple of days, I will show you what we made.

The first one is a card made with the new Watercolor Trio stamp set in the summer mini.  I love this set and have used it a couple times already.  The technique we used on this card is watercolor crayons.  It is the first time I have played with them and of them!  I think I will be purchasing some of these in the next few months.

Another part of this card I like is the vase.  We used the ornament punch and just cut off the bottom to make it look like a vase.  SU! punches are so versatile.

Materials used are stampin’ up! Unless noted
Stamps: watercolor trio
Paper: crushed curry, dusty durango, old olive, old olive dsp, whisper white
Ink: dusty durango
Accessories: watercolor crayons, water, dimensionals, very vanilla 1/4" grosgrain ribbon
Punches: ornament
Techniques: watercolor crayons

There are new digital downloads available for My Digital Studio.  Use the keyword DWNLDA  here in my Online Store to check them out.

Great card Kim - and what a cool idea to use the ornament punch in this way - I love the "vase"! Enjoy your vacation!

Oh how I fondly remember those last few days of school. There was electricity in the air. What a fun time.

Your card totally rocks. Love the red vase and how you carried that into red into your sentiment. Wonderful!

Great job on the card, Kim! The vase is terrific. Love how you did it with a punch.

Summer vacation starts THIS week? We've got this week, then 4 days next week in our neck of the woods. I hope you and your boys have a fabulous time together!
