Simply Adorned

I have been wanting to play with the Simply Adorned Charms ever since Stampin' Up! has released them, and FINALLY got to create with them.  Oh, so much fun!  I ordered the 1 x 1 charm first, because I knew I wanted to use Cute by the Inch stamp set (Hostess Level Two).  The front of the charm is beveled, which makes it so pretty.  The back of the charm is flat; however, it still looks awesome when decorated.  Two necklaces in one charm.  Now, I can't wait to order the other ones and see what I can create with those.

For the front of my charm, I used a direct marker technique for the image.  I colored the petals in Pacific Point, the stem and outline in Old Olive, and the friends in Pumpkin Pie.  I gave it a huff and stamped the image on Whisper White paper.  Then I punched it out with a 1 x 1 square punch.  Lastly, I added a little blue bling to the center of the flower.  Cute!

For the back, I stamped the owl image on a Kaleidacolor pad with oranges, reds and browns.  Then I punched it out with a 1 x 1 square punch, and added the orange bling for its eyes.  Love it!  There are so many possibilities.  I can't wait to make one for all the holidays.

The Simply Adorned Charms are nickel-plated with tempered glass on front and back and a lobster clasp.  Locket-style charm with hinge lets you insert custom artwork or photos.  Packaged in a gift box.  These are various sizes:
