I forgot to post this yesterday. Whenever there is a holiday, I get confused on what day it is especially when my DH has the day off. It felt like it was Sunday all day and it was Monday. That means I was supposed to post this for Tuesday, since I am the host for 3-D Tuesday at Paper Craft Planet this week.
Another 3D item from me... I think I made more within the last month than I did in 2009.
At Paper Craft Planet we are getting organized this first month of the year and setting goals. I have a journal for you this week. This is the first journal that I have ever made or kept. My journal started with my DH cleaning out his "man cave" in the basement and throwing up a piece of cardboard for me to put in the recycling bin. I picked it up and thought..."This is too good to not use." I cut it down and used it as the front and back cover of my journal.
I covered the cardboard with pattern paper, decorated it and bounded it together. My first thought was to use my Bind-It-All; however, the cardboard I used was too thick to go into the machine. I had to think of another way to keep my pages together. Ah! My CROP-A-DILE! It worked perfectly to add jumbo eyelets for "o rings". The paper I added is white and pink cardstock. I alternated the white and pink, so I could write on pretty pink paper as often as white. Lastly, I added coordinating ribbon to the rings to match my color scheme.
Have you made a journal yet? Go ahead! I use mine for everything. I use mine to write thoughts for the day, funny things my boys say, lists, favorite quotes. There are endless possibilities.
Hope you can play along this week! Don't forget to tag your project 3d45, so I can pull it into the gallery.

Wonderful journal, Kim! Great job on using it, too. I might be afraid it's "too pretty" to use, but that completely negates the point doesn't it?
I know exactly what you mean about holidays when every one is home. Throws me off, too!
Thanks for sharing!
Your journal is absolutely beautiful. I love the brown and pink together.

I LOVE this! It's so so pretty! And you've used my favorite color combo too. Good for you on recycling! :-)
