I was browsing through my binder of cards, etc. I have printed off the internet that I like and came across a card that had a technique where you make a wooden face. This is so easy and looks so cool. I have only made a card with this technique once, so I decided to try it again.
Recipe:
Cardstock: white daisy, new england ivy, pansy purple
Reinkers: bamboo, brown bag, desert sand, cocoa
Ink: pansy purple, new england ivy, garden green
Stamp sets: Rustic Flowers, thank you (Heidi Swapp)
Embellishments: button from CTMH autumn collection, purple fibers (unknown), new england ivy bigger brads, EK Success ticket punch, CTMH black marker, ruler, old toothbrush
Tune in next week for a video tutorial showing how I made this card.
I have been trying to find the link to the gift card holder I posted, because so many of you would like the directions. If I can't find the link, I will try to post the pics and directions I have and hopefully the person who created will claim it. I do not want to take credit for such great directions. I will keep you posted.
Edited: Jeanne, I changed my banner just a couple of weeks ago. I kept forgetting to make a comment about it. I am glad you like it. I needed a little change, but you know how much I love trees. I had to keep my trees!
Happy Stamping!

So very pretty. I love the colors. Can't wait for the video.
I tried to paste a link, but I don't think it worked, so I'll email it to you.
This is a great card and a fun technique! Thanks for sharing!
I'm sorry I didn't notice your new blog banner before now. What can I say...I'm a dork sometimes!
Hugs!
