Chalk Popping always seems to be a favorite of stampers. Even my son, Tate, was impressed by this technique when I showed him.
This 6 x 6 example was made by Kim Eickholdt, CTMH Independent Consultant. I participated in a swap with other consultants for techniques. Here are the directions:
- Ink up your stamp with Versamark
- Stamp your image on your paper
- Rub chalk over the stamped image
- You can use different colors or just one. This is done according to the look you are trying to create.
This card was created using Rustic Flowers stamp set (2007 March stamp of the month), Bubblegum organdy ribbon, White Daisy ink and various chalk colors. The little flowers and center of big flowers were created using chalk popping. In addition, I used Black cardstock.
This card was created with Sweet Flowers stamp set and Blue Jeans stamp set. The flowers in the pocket were created with chalk popping. I used Holiday Red cardstock, Star Spangled Blue gingham paper (retired), Holiday Red gingham ribbon (retired), Outdoor Denim ink, Garden Green ink, Holiday red ink, Star Spangled Blue ink and White Daisy brads.
The next time you create try this technique!
