Here is a 6 x 6 page from the swap I participated in created by Marlene Lund, CTMH Independent Consultant, to show the generation stamping technique. It is easy and a great way to use just one color for multiply shades.
Generation Stamping
- Ink up stamp, making sure to get full, even coverage. Stamp onto paper. This is 1st generation.
- Without re-inking, stamping image again for 2nd generation.
- Repeat without re-inking for 3rd generation.
Below is a card where I took this same stamp set and made a birthday card using generation stamping. I used Hydrangea ink instead of Holiday Red.
Other materials used are all CTMH:
- Birthday Bash stamp set
- For Every Occasion stamp set (2007 April stamp of the month)
- White Daisy cardstock
- Clover Meadow cardstock
- Topiary brads
- Star Spangled Blue ink

Good reminder of a great technique. As a bonus the hues will always match!
